I live in an appartment in Lincoln Park. Our freezer/ fridge has stopped working. Please let me know how soon somebody could come out and look at it.

Dryer will not turn on. Tried electrical plug, fuse, etc. Also, my freezer, icemaker is not working, if there is an appliance repair person who could fix both, that would be ideal.

Most dishwasher repairs and troubleshooting are complicated tasks, and should be left to a licensed repair professional only. However, there are minor dishwasher repairs that you can perform yourself, provided you have more than adequate plumbing and electrical DIY skills. However, no dishwasher repairs must be undertaken before switching off the power supply to the appliance. You can do this either by unplugging the unit, or turning off power supply at the fuse box. Also, remember that a dishwasher tends to have sharp edges that you must be careful of to avoid injury. Most dishwasher repair problems involve poor cleaning. If your dishwasher fails to clean properly, it's most likely a problem with a defective water inlet valve. In such cases, repairs of the valve can take care of the dishwasher repair problem. Also, make sure that your filter is cleaned regularly to avoid clogging with food debris. Cleaning problems can also occur because of a clogged spray arm. Food particles can block the holes in the arms leading to cleaning problems. Also, make sure that your drain valve is free of clogs.
Clean out the spray arm that's located at the bottom of the appliance, with a safety pin and hot vinegar. Food debris can quickly block the holes causing cleaning problems. If your dishwasher doesn't turn on at all, check to see if there is sufficient power supply to the machine. Burnt or broken wiring can also cause the machine to go dead. It could also be a problem with a defective timer, and if so, dishwasher repairs will involve replacing the timer. If there are problems with draining of water, make sure that there is no clog inside the drain line. Any clogs must be cleared before the water can drain properly. Also, check to see that the dishwasher pump is functioning properly.
A noisy dishwasher can be repaired by replacing an old water inlet valve, worn out motor bearings or heater fan bearings. Noise can also occur because food debris gets stuck in the pump. If you have trouble closing the dishwasher door, then dishwasher repairs will include checking for broken springs or bent hinges, and replacing these. For optimum cleaning, make sure that you use water heated up to 120 degrees F for your water cycle. We can help you find Minneapolis dishwasher repair services.
